Venue Selection Wedding, Corporate and Events
Typically we see guests in Bali select between one of 2 locations to host their wedding or event. These are within a resort complex which have specialised wedding and event areas or within a luxury private villa many of which are set up specifically with the hosting of events in mind. Additional options can include hiring a restaurant, beach club or even having an outdoor beach wedding.
Some of the questions you will need to ask yourself are:
|
- What season will you be having your wedding or event? Wet season in Bali nearly guarantees rain and the weather can change quickly any time. Ensure that your venue is suitable for the season being indoor or outdoor.
- Are there any restrictions on the venue you need to be aware of? Venue restrictions may apply to some places including operating times, music within the area, parking, guest control, security, and alcohol service.
- Do you require location permits or permission form the local banjar / local government authority. If in a private residence you will usually need to seek permission and pay a fee to the local banjar (community based minor government and security division).
- Venue suitability is key to successful weddings or event and then linking all of the elements together. Having a suitable area for the type of live music you want either band, DJ, dance floor. Having a sizeable area for chefs and food preparation based on the food you will serve. Having a suitable area for the food service you select. Where will you set up the bar or is there already a bar in the venue. There are many questions you will have to ask and processes to work through which we will explain throughout this guide.
Once you have your venue selected or perhaps you are still deciding based on our information above there are some additional questions you should ask in order to ensure the day will run as possible.
